Former MLC Raghu Achar to visit D Devaraja Urs’ grave at Hunsur

Mysuru: Former MLC and Congress leader Raghu Achar who has decided to quit Congress and join JDS will be visiting the grave of former chief minister late D Devaraja Urs at Kallahalli in Hunsur taluk in the afternoon.
Raghu Achar will be paying floral tributes to the statue of Devaraja Urs at the entrance of Hunsur and later offer puja to the grave of Urs at 2 pm.
A Vishwakarma community leader, Raghu Achar will be contesting the Assembly elections on May 10 as JDS candidate from Chitradurga constituency.
A two- time Congress MLC, Raghu Achar was willing to contest the Assembly elections from Chitradurga. But the Congress party announced ticket to K C Veerendra (Pappy) who had joined Congress from JDS.
Irked over the party’s decision, Raghu Achar decided to quit Congress and join JDS.
