Former CJI gets a taste of north east in B R Hills

Chamarajanagar: Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi was offered a traditional welcome at the branch mutt of Suttur mutt in B R Hills.

Suttur seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji felicitated Gogoi and his wife Rupanjali Gogoi with Mysore Peta and an idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari.

The Gogoi couple were also a witness to the cultural integrity with the students of north east rendering a song- Sri Guruve nimagido savira namana- in Kannada.

The students are pursuing their education at Free School run by JSS Mahavidyapeeth at Suttur in Nanjangud taluk. The couple later had Prasada on the mutt premises.
JSS Mahavidyapeeth’s executive secretary Dr C G Betsurmath and others were present.
