Mysuru: Sri Ram Sene chief Pramod Muthalik who has announced to contest the Assembly elections from Karkala constituency in Udupi district as independent, alleged that the present BJP MLA of the constituency and Energy Minister V Sunil Kumar has amassed wealth worth over Rs 1,000 crore.
Addressing media persons at Mysore District Journalists Association premises on Wednesday, Muthalik questioned how can Sunil Kumar amass such a huge amount of wealth, when he had zero assets during 2004 elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an honest leader, but our State leaders are indulge in making money, alleged Muthalik.
Agreed that BJP is a corrupt party, but I will be joining the party, if I win the elections as independent. But the party leaders in the State are stopping me from joining the party, but don’t know whether the central leaders are aware of this or not, said Muthalik.
“My opponent in Karkala is Sunil Kumar and even Congress is my rival, but I will emerge victorious in the election,” said Muthalik in a confident tone. – Team Mysoorunews
