Drive to vaccinate 15 to 18 years launched in Mysuru district

Mysuru: The vaccination drive against Covid-19 for the people in the age group of 15 years to 18 years was launched at Maharani’s PU college on Narayan Shastri road in the district on Monday.
Cooperation and District incharge Minister S T Somashekar along with MLAs L Nagendra and S A Ramadass, Mayor Sunanda Phalanethra and officials including Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, Mysuru City Corporation commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy and DHO Dr Prasad were present during the launch of the drive.
Somashekar said “In the first phase, it is estimated to give jab for 20,000 students in two days. In all 100 vaccination booths are opened and each booth will administer vaccine to 100 children in the list. Already we have stored two lakh doses of vaccine.”
In a bid to allay fears among the children and parents, Somashekar appealed to them not to hesitate or fear about the vaccination. Please come and show necessary documents like aadhaar card or School/ College ID card and take the dose, Somashekar added.
