DFRL cashier embezzles Rs 50 lakh in five years

Mysuru: A cashier at Defence Food Research Laboratory ( DFRL), M M road, Siddarthanagar in the city is facing the charge of embezzlement of funds to the tune of Rs 50 lakh.
According to Nazarbad police who have filed a case, accused Pawan Kumar Singh works as Admin Assistant (B) and Cashier. He has misused Rs 50 lakh belonging to the central government’s esteemed laboratory by diverting the funds from two accounts of State Bank of India to his personal account. He had used the funds for his personal gain.
The misappropriation of funds has been noticed from the year 2013 to 2019, cheating the government owned laboratory.
