Devaraja Market: MCC to abide by High Court directions

Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde said “The corporation will abide by the directions of High Court regarding Devaraja Market one of the heritage structures of the city”.
Hegde told media “Devaraja Market is in a pathetic condition. A technical committee which examined the structure has given a report to court that it is unable to restore the structure. Hence, we will follow the directive of the court regarding the market”.
“MCC council has already resolved to demolish the building and rebuild the structure on heritage lines”, he recalled.
