City police arrest trio for car wheels theft; Wheels valued at Rs 2.56 lakh seized

Mysuru: In a major crackdown on theft of car wheels – that was being reported from the City, often – the City police have arrested three persons and recovered 12 wheels of four-wheeler vehicles.
Of late, there had been repeated complaints of wheel theft in Kuvempunagar police station limits that had become a headache for the police. However, the police on Wednesday picked up three who are identified as Siddique, Shahrukh Khan and Mushtaq. While the two were from Srirangapatna Taluk, the other one was from Kesare in Mysuru.
The total value of seized 12 wheels is pegged at Rs 2.56 lakh, informed Mysuru City Police Commissioner Ramesh B.
