Chief Minister Yediyurappa offers bagina at KRS dam

Mandya: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa offered bagina to river Cauvery at KRS dam in the district on Friday.
It is the annual ritual in practice whenever the dam reaches its brim and to pray for the good of all, especially farmers.
The chief minister soon after his arrival was offered a traditional welcome. The chief minister before offering bagina to the river paid his customary obeisance to the idol of Goddess Cauvery installed at Brindavan Garden attached to the dam.
Horticulture and district incharge minister Narayan Gowda, Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh, Srirangapatna MLA Ravindra Srikantaiah, Chamaraja MLA from Mysuru L Nagendra, Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha and others were present.
