Aortic valve replacement surgery conducted at Jayadeva Hospital

Mysuru: Adding yet another feather to its cap, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research has successfully performed aortic replacement surgery.
A team of doctors led by Dr Shivanand performed the surgery for 10 hours and succeeded in their task. It was a risky surgery, as the patient had to be kept in 18 degree temperature and the supply of blood to brain had to be blocked for temporary. Any minute error may cause stroke in the brain and hence the doctors took all the precautionary measures.
Jayadeva Hospital director Dr C N Manjunath who enquired the health of the patient has congratulated the doctors for their successful task.
The doctors team also included Dr Madhu Prakash, Dr Kumshi Sridhar, Dr H M Jayaprakash, Dr Vinayak, Dr Kumar and Dr Bharati.
Jayadeva Mysuru centre head Dr K S Sadanand, Nursing Superintendent Harish Kumar and PRO Vani Mohan were present.
