Mysuru: At the age of 10, how many skills can one acquire? The numbers may vary, but in the case of Ananya V S, it is many.

Ananya can shake her legs with ease for a western dance, enthrall the art connoisseurs with Bharatanatya and Kathak, most importantly Yakshagana, followed by gymnastics and acting skills.

Ananya’s parents Vishwanath Poojary and Pallavi hail from Dharmastala in Dakshina Kannada district. Though they have settled down at Ramakrishna Nagar in Mysuru, the innate bonding with Yakshagana the indigenous art form of the coastal area has remained intact.

It has taken wings further, with Ananya practicing Yakshagana generally believed as men’s domain, with perfectness. She has various performances and prizes to her credit.

A student of Ramakrishna Vidya Kendra, Ananya is also good in academics. Her versatile talent has caught the attention of filmmakers too, with Ananya working in “Riya” a multilingual film. It’s also her debut in filmdom.
All the very best to Ananya a child prodigy who has a promising future.
