1 min read

Bengaluru: In a clear violation of protocol, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot was refused to board AirAsia India flight from Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday. The AirAsia India flight was to leave for Hyderabad and it took off at 2.05 pm without the Governor on board, it is reported.

Whether the governor was late to be allowed to board the flight or was it a mistake on the part of the flight crew, it is to be seen. Governor Gehlot later took another AirAsia India flight to reach Hyderabad, it is reported.

While several reports quoted multiple sources that denied any delay on Governor Gehlot’s part in reaching the terminal.

There is a certain protocol to be followed in for VVIPs like President, Prime Minister, Home Minister, Chief Minister and Supreme Court Justice. They wait at the ceremonial lounge and board the flight once the passengers’ boarding gate is closed. Any VVIP Governor in this case would be the last passenger to board the flight.

The team accompanying the governor denied any delay on his part and several reports quoted them saying the boarding gate was still open when he reached the flight.

The crew of AirAsia flight that did not allow governor to board the flight is being questioned until Thursday evening.
