Advocates not to appear for ‘Free Kashmir’ placard girl

Mysuru: Advocates of Mysuru Bar Association have decided not to take the case of ‘Free Kashmir’ placard holder Nalini Balakumar.

Association President S Anand Kumar told media, “the girl holding a placard for ‘Free Kashmir’ was against the unity of the nation. So we from the association have decided to stay away. We will not file any petition on behalf of her”, he said.

Nalini Balakumar accompanied by her mother attended the Court. Earlier she had been granted interim bail on January 9.
 
Nalini who took part in the protest rally in Manasagangotri campus on January 8 had held the placard, only to face police action.
Jayalakshmipuram police have filed a suo motu case.
 
Nalini has already appeared for a round of inquiry, where the investigators quizzed her for six hours, before letting her out.
