A touch of creativity to highlight Congress guarantees in CM’s birthday fete

Mysuru: Students engaged in a creative exercise on five pre-poll guarantee schemes of Congress led State Government at Kalamandira in the city on Friday.
Karnataka Rajya Hindulida Vargagala Jagrutha Vedike, P R Thippeswamy Foundation and Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota have jointly organised a drawing competition for both school and college students, as part of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s 76th birthday celebrations.
MLA K Harish Gowda painted a portrait of Siddaramaiah, to mark the inauguration of the birthday celebrations.
K C Mahadeva Shetty, principal of Kalaniketana School of Arts, Vijayanagar supervised the drawing competition.
Around 50 artists also enthusiastically participated in the event. About 500 students from class 3 to 10 took part in the competition.
MLC D Thimmaiah, K S Shivaram, former MLA MK Somashekar, President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru, Maddikere Gopal and M Chandrashekar of Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota were present.
