Dr Kumar takes charge as Mandya DC

Mandya: Dr Kumar took charge as the Deputy Commissioner of Mandya on Monday. Kumar received the charge from outgoing DC Dr H N Gopalakrishna.
Kumar was previously serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat.
Kumar has served as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Udupi, Chikkamagalutu and Dakshina Kannada, Assistant Commissioner of Vijayapura and Tumakuru, with a vast experience in Revenue Department related matters.
“Be it any issues in the department, I will look into it. I will provide a transparent and responsive administration. I have worked for 15 years in Revenue Department, said new DC Kumar.
Power is an opportunity to do public service. All the programmes will be implemented in a time bound manner by creating awareness among farmers about Bhoomi Software and other matters. Priority will be given to address farmers grievances and if there are rain related issues, action will be taken to find solutions by immediately calling the meeting of officers, assured DC Kumar.
