Karnataka elections: Iron mesh, barricades erected at Rajamarga for PM Modi’s road show

Mysuru: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mysuru on April 30, preparations are underway in the City.

Prime Minister Modi will go on a four km long road show at Raja Marga on Sayyaji Rao Road, on April 30, in view of the Assembly elections on May 10.

Iron mesh has beeen erected above heritage style stone pillars on Raja Marga covering the footpaths in front of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) main building, Banumaiah’s College heritage building and Lansdowne.

Bamboo poles have been put up on footpaths near Gun House Circle, Basaveshwara Circle in front of Sriman Maharaja Sanskrit College, Chamaraja Double road and other routes for a smooth road show.

The road show will start from Gun House Circle and will pass through Basaveshwara Circle, New Sayyajirao Road, K R Circle, Sayyajirao Road, Vishweshwaraiah Circle, Government Ayurveda Colllege and Hospital, Old RMC Circle, Highway Circle and T N Narasimha Murthy Circle in front of LIC Divisional Office, Bannimantap. 

Besides, helipad at the Oval Grounds is ready where Modi’s chopper is expected to touch the ground at 5.30 pm.

PM Modi will kickstart his campaign for Karnataka Assembly elections from April 29.
