MCC sets aside Rs 25 lakh for journalists medical expenses

Mysuru: In a major step towards providing financial assistance to journalists in bearing medical expenditure, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has set aside Rs 25 lakh in its budget for the present fiscal.
This follows the efforts of Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) President S T Ravikumar and General Secretary M Subramanya.
Those members of the Association who have availed of treatment for various serious ailments including Covid can avail the benefit.
They can submit an application addressed to MCC commissioner enclosed with the bills. The application should be handed over to MDJA Manager Nagesh.
