7-year-old girl mowed down by car at MM Hills

Mysuru: A seven-year-old girl was mowed down by a car at Male Mahadeshwara Hills in Chamarajanagar on Sunday.
Sushmitha of Ulavankottai, Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu is the deceased girl.
She had come to Mahadeshwara temple at the hill, along with her grandparents Perumal and Nanjamma on Saturday. They had stayed overnight and were walking towards the bus stand in the morning, when a woman driving a car took a reverse turn all of a sudden near the parking stand of Rangamandira.
The car hit and drove over Sushmitha’s chest, killing her on the spot. The woman at wheel who was shocked over the accident drove arbitrarily and hit another car parked in the front, it is said.
Following a complaint by the girl’s grandfather Perumal, MM Hills Police have registered a case against the driver.
