25th Maharaja of Mysuru Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar’s bust opened at Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: Scion of erstwhile royal family of Mysuru Pramoda Devi Wadiyar unveiled the bust of 25th and last Maharaja of Mysuru Jaya Chamarajendra Wadiyar installed at Chamundi Hill on Friday.
Chamundi Hill Gram Panchayat along with villagers installed the bust of Jaya Chamarajendra Wadiyar, whose birth centenary was celebrated a year ago.
Scupltor Surya Prakash has carved the bust of Wadiyar in Krishna Shile. It cost around Rs eight lakh. It was planned a year ago and has now become a reality.
Pramoda Devi Wadiyar who unveiled the bust remembered the contributions of Wadiyars to Mysuru and art and cultural arena.
Chamundeshwari MLA G T Devegowda, Agriculture Minister B C Patil, chief priest of Chamundeshwari temple Shashishekar Dixit and others were present.
