Yuvaraja College Principal Dr H Somashekarappa passes away

Mysuru: Dr H Somashekarappa, Principal of Yuvaraja College in the city, passed away at a private hospital in the city on Saturday. He was 61.
Dr Somashekarappa died of heart attack at Cauvery Hospital on Bannur road.
He was born in Doddasiddanahalli, Chitradurga district in July 1963.
He had served the University of Mysore for 33 long years, in various capacities, since he joined the Department of Physics, Yuvaraja College in the year 1992. In the year September 2022, he became the Administrative Officer of the college and served till February 2023. In March 2023, he became the Principal of University Evening College, where he served till November 2023. He was the Principal of Maharaja College from November 2023 to July 2024.
He was serving as the Principal of Yuvaraja College since July 2024.
