Youth Red Cross opened at Yenepoya

Mangaluru: Youth Red Cross, Yenepoya (deemed to be University), was inaugurated on Tuesday  by Dr Rajendra K V Deputy Commissioner, Dakshina Kannada.

In his speech Rajendra appreciated the university for signing MoU with Indian Red cross society D K.

He congratulated the Youth Red Cross Unit of Yenepoya Deemed to be University for being inaugurated and said that the Humanitarian values should be inculcated among the volunteers and the principles of Red Cross should help to develop the peace and cordiality among the volunteers.

C A Shantharama Shetty, Chairman, Indian Red Cross Society D K, the guest of honour in his speech said that “youth as ambassadors of Indian Red Cross Society, has to reach the society with humanitarian values and be a good civilians”.

Kusumadara B K, Hon. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society praised the work of Youth Red Cross at University.

Dr M Vijayakumar Vice-chancellor presided over the function.

Dr K S Gangadhara Somayaji, Registrar, welcomed the gathering and Nithyashree B V, Nodal Officer, Youth Red Cross, delivered the vote of thanks.

State representative of Indian Red Cross Society Yathish Baikampady, Resource person Sachet Suvarna, were present.

Jyothi compered the programme.

Around 10 programme officers of constituent colleges and 300 volunteers were benefitted by the programme.
