Youth murdered for opposing sister’s love affair

Mysuru: In a filmy incident, a youth murdered his lover’s brother at Basavanahallli road, near Vijayanagar fourth stage in the outskirts of the city on Thursday.
The victim is identified as 23-year-old Hemanth (Swamy) of Belavadi.
Sagar who was courting Hemanth’s sister, was facing stiff resistance from Hemanth who is also his relative.
Hemanth was strongly opposing their relationship and insisted that his sister who is studying engineering at a reputed college on Mysuru- Nanjangud road stay away from Sagar.
Seeting in anger, Sagar along with his friends Prathap and Manju attacked Hemanth with knife and other weapons, near SVEI School, Basavanahalli, killing him on the spot. He also crushed his head with a stone.
While Hemanth’s friend Sukhanth was spared from the attack.
Vijayanagar Police have registered a case.
