Mysuru: Elated over his re- election as a member of parliament from Mysuru- Kodagu constituency Prathap Simha has bigger plans ahead for next five years.
Before that he has an appointment with Prime Minister designate Narendra Modi on May 29 in New Delhi. He is planning to invite Modi for international Yoga Day celebration in the city on June 21. If not this year, Simha is confident of bringing Modi to city at least once for the Yoga Day within five years till 2024′.
Buoyed by the overwhelming response to the number of additional trains introduced on Mysuru- Bengaluru route, extension of Mysuru- Bengaluru train up to Ashokapuram station, during his previous tenure, he has plans to take the proposed Mysuru- Kushalnagar train towards reality, 10 laning of Mysuru- Bengaluru highway, opening of four Kendriya Vidyalayas in each of the four parts of the city. and many more.
Making it clear that he would be more happy if a prominent dalit leader V Sreenivas Prasad who was re-elected to Parliament from Chamarajanagar ( SC reserve) was given a due role in the central government, Simha denied any lobbying on his part for cabinet berth.
‘ I am a journalist by heart, who plunged into politics with the only intention of working under Modi during 2014 elections. Incidentally I was also elected to Lok Sabha along with Modi. It’s more than enough for me, as I am thinking only about working till 2024’.
