Yet another temple burglary in K R Nagar! Third case in 15 days
1 min readMysuru: In yet another case of temple burglary in K R Nagar taluk, thieves have targeted Meenakshi Arkeshwara Swamy temple on Friday.
The burglars have escaped with a trident of 1.5 feet height, copper and silver items from the temple.
According to policemen associated with investigating team, “burglars may have taken the advantage of crises over Coronavirus. The works on building compound wall around the temple was stopped after the crises reached its peak and labourers engaged in work were also sent away. Following this the temple lacks adequate security measures”.
Finger print experts and sniffer dof were pressed into service. The footage of CCTV cameras installed at the temple are also being verified.
This is the third such case after Sri Rama temple, Chunchanakatte and Sri Doddamma Kariyamma temple, Bherya which were burgled recently.
