Yediyurappa is father-figure to me! I won’t quit party, says MLA Ramadass

Mysuru: After a photo of BJP leaders meeting – in which MLA Ramadass was also seen – went viral interpreting it as ‘meeting of disgruntled legislators’, Mysuru BJP MLA clarified that the meeting was being misinterpreted.

A photo of BJP leaders having ‘rotti’ meeting had gone viral recently and it was claimed that they wanted a change in leadership. The meeting comprised disgruntled MLAs Umesh Katti, Murugesh Nirani and others.
On Monday, Ramadass said that North Karnataka leaders had a separate meeting and this was misinterpreted. In fact, the photo was taken in January and it was a gathering for tea.
He further said that he had met B S Yediyurappa in the second week of May to discuss the constituency issue. Apart from this, he has not travelled outside of Mysuru.
“Yediyurappa is a father-figure to me. The party has given me all the positions and I am happy with it. I will not quit the party,” he added. During this time he happened to meet the NK leaders and that’s about it.
He said rumours are being spread that he may quit the party if A H Vishwanath is given the ticket. This is not true and this upsets him, he informed.
