Yash’s ‘KGF-2’ hits screens with a bang in Mysuru

Mysuru: As Rocking Star Yash starrer much awaited KGF-2 hit 10,000 screens  worldwide on Thursday, fans are celebrating the occasion as a festival.

The movie touted to be a Sandalwood game changer, is a sequel to KGF-1 released three years ago.

Of the total 10,000 screens, four single screens and three multiplexes in Mysuru are showing the movie to the ecstatic fans who have been thronging the theatres since yesterday.

According to theatre sources, some die hard fans of Yash had occupied the space outside theatre since night, waiting to watch the movie. For three days, pre-bookings are closed and across the country 30 crore pre-bookings have been made, a highest ever in Sandalwood in the recent past.

While a futile attempt was made to screen the movie at DRC Cinemas in B M Habitat complex at Jayalakshmipuram at 1 am. However, the screening started at 8 AM today. 

On the first day, tickets were sold in black at minimum Rs 1,000 per ticket. While huge cutouts touched the sky in front of the theatres- Sterling, Woodlands, Sangam and Rajkamal .

KGF chapter 2 directed by Prashanth Neel, stars Yash in the lead role, along with Shrinidhi Shetty, Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Ravina Tandon, Prakash Raj among the star cast.
