Yaduveer Wadiyar couple visits Arjuna’s grave, pay their respects

Mysuru: Scion of erstwhile royal family of Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and his wife Trishika Kumari Wadiyar visited the grave of howdah elephant Arjuna at Kabballikatte forest in Hassan district on Thursday. 

Yaduveer who has posted the photos of his visit on social media stated-Due to my travelling at the time, I was unable to attend the last rites of the elephant Arjuna. I was able to visit the place of his burial today, and pay my respects. May his soul attain peace in his liberation.

It has to be mentioned that Arjuna was killed in a fight with wild tusker at Yesalur in Sakleshpur taluk, Hassan district on Monday.

Arjuna, 64 years, had carried Golden Howdah in Jamboo Savari  procession of Mysuru Dasara for eight years from 2012 to 2019.
