Woman, son killed in car accident near Dattagalli ring road

Mysuru: In a freak accident, a woman and her son were killed on the spot near the outer-ring road junction at Dattagalli on Wednesday.
Gunalakshmi (35) and her son Daivik (12) are those unfortunate duo. While Gunalakshmi’s husbsnd Jagadish suffered injuries in the mishap. They are natives of Nanjangud.
On Wednesday morning at around 4.30 am, the trio were travelling in a car, when the front tyre burst near Dattagalli. Following the impact, the car rammed into an electric pole. While the mother and son succumbed on the spot, Jagadish suffered injuries and is admitted at a hospital.
Kuvempunagar traffic police have registered a case.
