Mysuru: Apart from immense perks that the lockdown period has brought with it, there are a few banes too. With many services remaining out of the reach, especially saloons and parlours, people are finding their own ways to deal with it. It’s no different for IAS officers too.

Rajeshwari B Deputy Commissioner, Dumka
Meet, Rajeshwari B, Deputy Commissioner of Dumka, Jharkhand who came to the rescue of her husband and son who badly needed a hair cut. How? No she didn’t summon anyone but took the scissor and gave a good haircut to her husband and son.
In fact, Rajeshwari is a native of Mysuru. She did her early education in Kodagu, though. A 2011 batch cadre IAS officer, Rajeshwari is now the DC of Dumka, Jharkhand.
Previously, during her stint as DC of Ramgarh, she had initiated several programmes for the welfare of tribal communities over there. Besides, she has won accolades for turning that district into an open defecation free district.
Not to be bogged down by the situations, Rajeshwari has now come to the help of her husband and son.
She has tweeted a picture of her giving a haircut to her husband and won many hearts. “It is not good always to be dependent on others. My husband and son were worried over their growing mane and beard during this lockdown period. So, I decided to help them out. The lockdown due to Corona in a way has taught me to be an independent,” she tweeted.
