Mysuru: Even a month after her transfer from Mysuru, IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri the previous deputy commissioner continues to earn the ire of elected representatives.

Without taking the name of Rohini Sindhuri, Mysuru- Kodagu MP Pratap Simha continued to blame the officer referring to the latter as previous “Deputy Commissioner.”

On Thursday Simha presided over
District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (Disha) meeting at Zilla Panchayat hall.

“The previous deputy commissioner to showcase her efficiency and management of the Covid situation gave wrong data. The death cases were recorded as 250 odd numbers, concealing the data of more than 700 deaths in April and May,” alleged Simha making oblique reference to Sindhuri.

With the third wave of Covid-19 expected, a lot of efforts is needed to equip medical infrastructure to handle paediatric cases.

A separate task force should monitor District Hospital and super specialty hospital, with the help of private medical and industrial experts, Pratap Simha stated.

DC Dr Bagadi Gautham stressed on the need to augment 300 beds. We are coordinating with Nirmithi Kendra to arrange the facilities and civil works, DC added.

Later Pratap Simha also demanded a clarification about KRS Dam which is being falsely portrayed in the media.

Somebody without any knowledge is talking about leakages in KRS, he said indirectly referring to Mandya MP Sumalatha Ambareesh.

Simha insisted the officers to coordinate with CADA and release the statement from authorities to clear the ongoing controversy.

The issues related to NREGA, plastic restrictions and highway were also discussed at the meeting.
