With few hours left for travel curbs, KSRTC runs Mysuru- Bengaluru buses on demand

1 min read

Mysuru: Following the dwindling number  of passengers from Mysuru to Bengaluru, KSRTC is running buses only on a demand basis from KSRTC sub- urban bus stand in the city.

With the hours left for the 14- day restrictions to come into effect from today night, with the government announcing to suspend public transport including KSRTC buses, the transport authorities are also not willing to take any chances.

Earlier Mysuru- Bengaluru was one of the busiest routes. Apart from job goers, people commute between both the cities on one or the other reasons. Bengaluru has emerged one of the major Corona hotspots in the country with the spike in daily caseload. Hence, even the other people are avoiding to travel towards the capital city of the state.

KSRTC runs 300 buses everyday within 2- 3 minutes gap to Bengaluru from Mysuru. Now, it only depends on the demand.

Chief minister also pointed that Bengaluru situation is critical than other states Covid hotspots. So, Mysureans are not willing to take the risk by travelling to Bengaluru.

KSRTC Rural Divisional Controller Ashok told Mysoorunews.com “as usual KSRTC bus service is on today, but the people’s movement from Mysuru Sub Urban bus stand is reducing. Towards Bengaluru, it is less than usual service. People are not travelling to Bengaluru via buses,” he said.
