Winners of Wodeyar’s Cup badminton tournament

Mysuru: More than 80 players from various parts of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu participated in the Wodeyar’s Cup badminton tournament organised by Taponandana Badminton Association and Bidiru Sports Club at Sports Park, Rajarajeshwarinagar in the city on Sunday.
In the Men’s Open category, Gaurav and Naushad from Mangalore won first place and Varun Reddy and Likhit from Bengaluru won second place.
In the 75+ Jumble category, Sunil Gladson and Raghavan from Mysuru won first place and Naveen and Umesh from Kadur won second place. All the players played excellently, and it was like serving a delicacy to the audience who were in large numbers.
Pravin ex-state player and Prasanna of Pioneer sports gave away the prizes.
Chethan Industrialist, Advocate Chandrashekhar and Jagadeesh, ex-corporator were present.
For the First time Mysureans had the glimpse of State ranking players and was a treat to watch.
