Who has chance to be chief minister in Congress? Hear what Dr Sudhakar says

1 min read

Bengaluru: Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar on Monday spoke about the tradition in practice behind electing a chief minister in Congress party.

Answering to media queries over the internal bickering in the Congress party over who would be the next chief minister, with the party loyalists split between Opposition leader Siddaramaiah, KPCC President D K Shivakumar and former deputy chief minister Dr G Parameshwara, Dr Sudhakar who initially refused to elaborate citing it as internal issue of that party, later recalled the tradition in practice.

There is a set precedent in the Congress party- either the CLP president/ opposition party leader or the KPCC President will be the minister,” said Sudhakar who was with Congress before joining BJP.

On the shortage of vaccines in the state, Dr Sudhakar said, “We were expecting the supplies this month. A meeting is scheduled with union health minister in New Delhi on Monday or Tuesday, where I will put forth the demand for more vaccine supplies for the state.”
