Mysuru: The Mysuru City Congress workers laid a siege to Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha’s office on Wednesday and dared him for a debate on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s contributions to Mysuru.
However, the police did not allow them to enter the office at Jaladarsjini Guest House. The Congress workers were led by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee secretary and spokesperson M Lakshmana.
They raised slogans against the police for refusing them entry to the office. In fact, MP Pratap Simha wasn’t there st the office when the Congress leaders tried to barge in. He was, it is said, away to inspect Railway underbridges at KG Koppal and near Kukkarahalli lake, Radhakrishnan Avenue.
It may be recalled here that after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reportedly asked people in NR Constituency not to vote for MP Simha in the next Lok Sabha election. In his response, the BJP Parliamentarian had challenged the chief minister to list out his contribution to Mysuru.
