Weekend Curfew! Federation of Organisations and Associations of Mysuru stages protest on Urs road

Mysuru: Defying Weekend Curfew for the consecutive third week, Federation of Organizations and Associations of Mysuru staged protest on D Devaraja Urs road in the city on Saturday.
Barring shops selling essentials that are allowed to open till 2 pm, other shops are totally shut on Saturday and Sunday due to Weekend Curfew.
While not many shop owners and traders on D Devaraja Urs road and Santhepet joined the protest call given by the federation, office-bearers of the federstion led by their president B S Prashanth staged a symbolic protest on Urs road.
Prashanth said “citing the reason of border district, the government has ordered Weekend Curfew. All the business establishments are suffering losses.”
Mysuru is a leading tourist destination while all the tourists spots are closed on weekends.
