Mysuru: Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog ( RKA) has organised a webinar for media persons today on the topic: “Vision, Mission of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog and Role of Media”. It will be held from 11 am to 12:30 pm..

To explore more on the Cow Based economy, RKA has organised the webinar which will be addressed by its maiden chairman Dr Vallabh Kathiria.
The Aayog is for conservation, development and security of Indigenous breeds of cows. The aims, objectives and vision are much grander and efforts will be on scientific lines.
Kathiria (a renowned cancer surgeon and e-x MP from Rajkot and ex-Union Minister) has travelled extensively in most of the Veterinary Universities, Scientific organisations, Industries and Gaushala working on indigenous cows across India and formulated various Action Plans for Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog that are helpful for various sections of the society especially youth, women and rural population.
Since it’s formation, RKA has taken major initiatives for the betterment of the society including resolving the issue of stray cattle and generate income from non milking cows.
RKA recently launched the campaign of “Gomaya Ganesh” before Ganesh Chaturthi where more than 1.10 lakh eco friendly Ganesha idols made from cow dung were manufactured and distributed across the country encouraging youth and women entrepreneurship.
After success of Gomaya Ganesh campaign, RKA has planned to come up with “Kamdhenu Deepawali” campaign which will be of much bigger reach.
One of the major focus of RKA is on ‘Cow Entrepreneurship’ and ’Cow based start ups’, according to Pureesh Kumar, IT & Media Cell, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog.
