Mysuru: Snake Shyam rescued a rat snake at the mortuary of Seth Mohandas Tulsidas MCH Hospital on JLB road in the city on Monday.
As the hospital is converted into a 100-bed designated Covid health centre, Shyam in personal protection equipment (PPE) kit rescued the snake with ease. It was a non- venomous snake.
It was around 4.30 PM, when Shyam received a call about the snake spotted at hospital’s mortuary. A staff nurse had noticed the snake and immediately informed Shyam. The mortuary was also vacant.
Shyam told Mysoorunews.com “It was indeed uncomfortable to wear PPE kit, as it takes around 10 minutes. I really wonder about how the frontline warriors who are all working for Covid care, risk their lives. They deserve appreciation.”
Several months ago, Shyam had hit headlines after he risked his life and rescued a snake from a Covid infected person’s house in J P Nagar.
