VVCE student clinches gold in Student Olympic International Games

Mysuru: Vidyananda Kashyap, a student of Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru won a gold medal in shuttle badminton at the Student Olympic International Games held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, recently. Students from more than 25 countries had participated.

“Kashyap has already represented Karnataka in the 9th Student Olympic National Games 2022-23 and won a gold medal,” said the principal of the college, Dr. B Sadashive Gowda.
Vidyananda’s win has not only brought pride to the entire state but has also inspired aspiring athletes across the country. His achievement is an indication of the college’s commitment to nurture talent in both academics and sports, said Honorary Secretary of the Institute, P Vishwanath.
Vidyananda is the son of Ambreesha and Jayashree, residents of K R Nagara, Mysuru. He is doing engineering in Information Science at VVCE.
