Vision 2023 for Nursing Officers, youngsters: ADGP Ravi advises youths to engross in nature

Mysuru: The nursing officers who accomplished Vision-2023, the first ever Himalayan expedition for the nursing officers organised by Tiger Adventure Foundation under the patronage of Ladies circle india and Diya Foundation were felicitated on June 24 in the city. 
 
Speaking on the occasion after felicitating the nursing officers and other youngsters, Additional Director General of Police and Principal Secretary (Home) Government of Karnataka Ravi S recalled his days in mountains during his training days at Mt Roopkund in Uttarakhand and requested the gathering to get rid of mobile menace and engross with the nature. 
 
 
Narrating about policing, ADGP Ravi said “Policing is not a job to please people but to bring the erring to book and punish them through proper channels. But Policing is not easy nowadays and there are times where police don’t see their kids growing, as most of them will be on duty for more than 12-14 hours. When they leave home kids will be sleeping and when they return home, the kids will be sleeping and one day they realise the kids have grown up.”
 
ADGP Ravi also stressed the youth to take up civil service exams like UPSC and get into the elite services and whether you succeed or not but your perception of life changes. 
 
 
Narrating her experience Nursing Officer at Sri Jayadeva institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Mysore,  Reena jyothi said “Never in my life I could imagine to trek Himalayas and that to on the International Nursing Day which will remain etched in our hearts forever and will never be forgotten.”
 
Asha A an Insurance employee said “I was rejected or you can say I was just above 30 marks in fitness but the encouragement and endurance training given by TAF team was quite encouraging and that is the reason I could accomplish it.”
 
Master Chiranth R, a ninth grade student at Delhi Public School, South Bangalore, said “This is the first time I had stepped out of my comfort zone and specially leaving my parents for two weeks was not an easy task but have bonded with so many friends in my life from Mysuru and Bengaluru and hope to trek more in the days to come.” 
 
 
Founder Trustee of Diya Foundation Namrata Shenoy, the lady behind the project said “After having worked with Tiger Adventure Foundation in 2019, I thought it was good to organise an expedition for the nursing community as they are rarely seen anywhere else except for their hospital duties and household chores.” 
 
Anchal Khullar, National President of Ladies Circle india appreciated the efforts of Tiger Adventure Foundation for empowering women with the project like this which gives a new perception of life to womanhood.”
 
The nurses who accomplished Vision 2023 were felicitated by Shalia, garland and Certificate issued by Tiger Adventure foundation. 
 
The nurses were: Agatha Smitha Dsouza, District Hospital, Mysuru, Geetha D, Cheluvamba Hospital, Mysuru, Manjushree, Esic-Model Hospital, Bangalore, Janaki H, JSS Dental College & Hospital, Mysuru, Reshma H, Chamarajanagar Institute Of Medical Sciences & Teaching Hospital, Sarvamangala M S, NPC Maternity Hospital, Mysuru, Sabeeha CHC Jayanagar, Mysuru, Lakshmi Lokesh Mule, Cauvery Heart & Multi-Speciality Hospital, Mysuru, Shilpashree E S, Chamarajanagara Institute Of Medical Sciences (CIMS) And Teaching Hospital, Jayalakshmi M B, Health Centre, CFTRI, Mysuru, V Uma Maheswari, District Cholera Combact Team, DHO, Ballari and Reena Jyothi, Sri Jayadeva Institute Of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Mysuru.
 
The trekkers who accomplished climbing Mt Kilimanajaro the highest peak in Africa where also felicitated. They were Lenin Choudhary, Uday Karthik, Punitha Pradeep, Chethana Seervi, Girish Hullur, Shrigowri and Preeth Appaiah. 
 
Apart from 12 nurses, another 28 trekkers were felicitated on the occasion of their successful ascent to Mt Rumtu Top in Pir Panjal Range in Kullu Manali region in Himachal Pradesh. 
 
Namrata Shenoy, Founder Trustee of Diya Foundation and Past President of Ladies Circle India. Anil Kumar A, Founder Trustee and founder chairman of Tiger Adventure Foundation, Punitha Pradeep, Team Leader, Vision-2023 and Santosh R, Honorary Secretary, Tiger Adventure Foundation were present. 
 
The team was accompanied by Dr Santosh Bennur of CIMS, Chamarajanagar. 
 
The program was coordinated by DSD Solanki, Manjunath M P, Nanjunda Swamy, Nataraj, Dr Tanushree, Ujwal Shailendra and Harshavardhan.
