Tumakuru: Cooperation and Mysuru district incharge minister S T  Somashekar on Friday exuded confidence that former MLA A H Vishwanath will get his due in the coming days.

Speaking to media persons on why Vishwanath failed to make it to the list of candidates being fielded by BJP for the forthcoming elections to Legislative Council, Somashekar reiterated that ” It was the decision of the party high command, but the State BJP core committee had in fact recommended Vishwanath’s name along with that of others for candidature”.

However, we are confident that Vishwanath will be suitably accommodated in the days to come”.

Somashekar said “We have also spoken to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in this regard and the CM has also promised on these lines. Moreover the elections are also due for R R Nagar and Maski Assembly constituencies earlier represented by Muniratna and Prathap Gowda Patil respectively”.

He also denied any disappointment among the party legislators about lack of funds for the development of respective constituencies.

Following the situation over Covid-19, there is a delay in the release of central funds.  It has been raised with State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, but there is no acrimony among the MLAs, said Somashekar.
