1 min read

Bengaluru: Janata Dal ( Secular) State unit president A H Vishwanath on Tuesday quit from the top post of the party.

Vishwanath who has written his resignation letter addressed to party supremo H D Deve Gowda, in two pages, has explained that ‘I have been making way for the much needed new force for the party that has to be strengthened further in view of the better future’

The recent failure of the party in the elections has also prompted the senior leader to take the step on moral grounds. However he has clarified that he is not quitting the party at turbulent time.

He has also thanked Deve Gowda for giving him a political rebirth and also ticket to contest assembly election from Hunsur, when he was at crossroads after quitting Congress party, which he believes to be his mother organisation.

Vishwanath has also lauded Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for trying his best to run the government despite his ill health and troubles from ‘friends’.
