Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering students triumph at IIT Madras innoWAH Innovation Competition

Mysuru: Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru emerged as the winners of the prestigious PALS Innovation Competition – innoWAH, organized by IIT Madras recently.

The competition, which encourages young innovators to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges, saw participation from some of the brightest minds across the country. Out of 66 finalist teams, our students displayed remarkable ingenuity and perseverance to secure the top position and win a cash prize of Rs 15,000 in the Economic Growth category.

The competition was conducted in three rigorous rounds. In the Idea Pitch-In Round, the team was selected for the Pre-Finals, held at Velalar College of Engineering and Technology, Erode, Tamil Nadu, where their ideas were evaluated based on innovation, feasibility, economic growth and business impact. From this the team advanced to the Finals.

The winning team comprises N S Ayush Thanthri, Lalitesh B, N Nithish Kumar, Jnana Prasad G R, and P A Thrinesh. Their journey to victory was mentored by Prof. Harshitha Suresh and Prof. Aishwarya M, with invaluable support and encouragement from Department heads Dr Adithya C R, Dr Ravikumar V and Dean Dr Ashok B C.

VVCE Clinches Mysuru Zone VTU Inter-College Football Title:  Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) emerged champions in the Mysuru zone VTU Inter-College Football Competition 2025-26, organized by PESCE Mandya.

The winning team was honored by Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dr B Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE and Asst. Physical Education Director, Mohankumar N N.

With this victory, VVCE has qualified for the state-level competition to be held in Ballari.
