Veteran Kannada film actor Bank Janardhan no more

Bengaluru: Veteran Kannada film actor Bank Janardhan passed away on Monday. He was 76.

According to Guruprasad son of Janardhan, the actor breathed his last at about 2.30 am at Manipal Hospital. Jabardhan was suffering from age related ailments from sometime.
The body has been kept for public viewing at his Sultan Palya residence.
Janardhan, who was a bank employee took to acting, to supplement his income. He got the prefix ‘Bank’ and was popular as Bank Janardhan, acting in over 500 films, in a career spanning four decades.
He debuted in ‘Pitamaha’ a Kannada film in 1985 and had acted in most of the films of actor Jaggesh, and was known for his comedy roles.
Prominent films he had acted include Upendra directorial ‘Shh…’ and Tarle Nan Maga, Jeeboomba, Ganeshana Maduve, Kaurava, Belliyappa Bangarappa and several others to name a few. He had acted in popular serials like Papa Pandu, Robo Family, Mangalya and Jokaali.
