Bengaluru: Veteran journalist and popularly known as CRK among the journalists, C R Krishna Rao passed away at his residence in Katriguppe, here, on Tuesday. He was 93.
With over five decades of journalism, Rao was one of the scribes who strived to build Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ). Also a successful publisher, Rao began his career with Janashakthi journal and later joined with V N Subbarao to bring out a cinema magazine, ‘Menaka’ in the 60s. He is also one of the founders of famed Navakarnataka Publications.
He is survived by wife, Sharada son and a daughter.
Members of KUWJ have condoled Rao’s demise.
