Veerashaiva-Lingayats must vote for BJP’s Srivatsa in K R Constituency: Yediyurappa

Mysuru: Former chief minister and Lingayat strongman B S Yediyurappa on Wednesday gave a call to Veerashaiva- Lingayats to ensure the victory of BJP candidate T S Srivatsa by a big margin in Krishnaraja Assembly constituency.

In a meeting of Veerashaiva- Lingayats of Krishnaraja Assembly constituency convened at a private hotel in the city, Yediyurappa said “BJP will win over 130 seats in Karnataka and will form a government on its own with absolute majority. The community should not lend ears to rumours generated by other parties, but overwhelmingly support Srivatsa in the election.”

BJP in Karnataka has been treating Veerashaivas well. The veerashaivas are organised and have been with me all the time. I have told Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J P Nadda that we will form the government. I have been touring across the State and Veerashaivas should vote in large numbers, said Yediyurappa.
T S Srivatsa, former MLC Thontadarya, Veerashaiva leaders Kanya Shivamurthy, K N Puttabuddhi, U S Shekar, BJP State Vice-president M Rajendra, Ka Pu Siddalinga Swamy, former mayor Sunanda Phalanetra, Corporator B V Manjunath, leaders Jagadish, Cable Mahesh, Niranjan Murthy, Jayashankar, Jeevadhara Girish and others were present.
