Veerashaiva- Lingayat leader Go Ru Parameshwarappa passes away

Mysuru: Veerashaiva lingayat leader Go Ru Parameshwarappa President of Akhila Bharata Sharana Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru city unit passed away on Sunday.
A retired engineer of PWD, Rameshwarappa was a resident of Siddartha Layout in the city. He had involved himself in promoting vachana literature propagating the values of 12th century social reformer Basavanna.
Parameshwarappa was also the founder president of Federation of Basava Balaga Mysuru.
The mortal remains will be kept at his residence in the city till 10 am to enable relatives and friends to pay their last respects.
The mortal remains will be later taken to his native Gondenahalli in Chikkamagaluru district to perform last rites.
