Vasundhara 70! Disciples plan grand birthday from October 30

Mysuru: Disciples of danseuse Vasundhara Doreswamy have planned a four-day birthday celebration of their teacher from October 30 to November 02. Vasundhara Doreswamy is turning 70 soon.
Dancer Bhuvana of Guru Shishya Parampare Trust said on October 26 “students of Vasundhara Doreswamy who are spread across the globe are descending on Mysuru for a show as part of the birthday fete”.
The celebration will begin with the inauguration of Vasundhara Bhavan at Saraswatipuram on October 30, followed by a workshop on dance for two days on October 30 and 31.
A marathon classical dance programne is organised on November 1 from 9 am to 8 pm at Jaganmohan Palace.
A grand event has been organised on November 2 at Kalamandira and Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the ceremony.
Padmabushan and Rajya Sabha MP Sonal Mansingh will release a biography of Vasundhara Doreswamy authored by art critic George S Poul on the occassion.
Art critic Sunil Kothari, K V Murthy and Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha will be present.
Poorna Kemparaja Urs, Shruthi Sagar, Mekhala Shruthi Sagar and Varija Nalige were present at the press meet.
