Mysuru: Vasavi Sampada an association of women’s in Kuvempunagar in the city is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The anniversary celebration was inaugurated by MLC Tejaswini Gowda at Ganabharati auditorium in the city.

Gowda has said “The role of organisations and associations are key in the building of a nation, society and also a personality. If one struggles, the end result will lead towards achievements. Gone are the days when it had become common to hear that “Shetty’s and Bhats” can have an easy life. They have to work hard for a living.

Be it any person, he or she should think of security in life to avoid finding themselves in old age homes at their rickety age, said Gowda.

Former MLA M K Somashekar said “It is due to women in the Indian society, the family system is a model to the world. The women have innate ability of managing the family despite turbulent situations. The society is still dominated by male and women are still not devoid of hurdles to achieve their strength.

Somashekar lauded the 25 years of journey of Vasavi Sampada, which is no less an achievement. It is easy to launch organisations but difficult to keep it alive.

Corporator M C Ramesh, engineer Suresh Babu, Bhadrish from Kannika Parameshwari Cooperative Bank and Sampada president Lakshmi Ramesh were present at the ceremony.
