Vande Bharat train service between Bengaluru-Dharwad to commence from June 26

Bengaluru: The much-awaited Vande Bharat Express train service between Bengaluru-Dharwad will commence from June 26. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch the service along with four other Vande Bharat service trains.
This will be the second Vande Bharat train service to Karnataka after the first one introduced on Mysuru-Bengaluru-Chennai route in November 2022.
The Vande Bharat train between Bengaluru-Dharwad is likely to run on all days except on Tuesdays, it is reported. The distance between Bengaluru and Dharwad is 487 kms and with Vande Bharat service travel time is expected to reduce to 6 hours and 55 minutes while it takes approximately 7 hours in Jan Shatabdi trains that connects both the cities.
According to sources, the train will leave Bengaluru at 5.45 am and reach Dharwad by 12.40 am. On Dharwad side, it will departure from Dharwad at 1.15 pm to reach Bengaluru at 8.10 pm.
Vande Bharat train is expected to give stoppages at Yeshvantpur, Davangere and Hubballi.
