V Prabhakar Memorial Legends Cricket Tournament! VP Royals wins first match against VP Warriors

Mysuru: VP Royals won against VP Warriors at the inaugural match of V Prabhakar Memorial Legends Cricket tournament at SDNRW Stadium (Gangotri Glades) at Manasagangotri on Saturday.
Royals chased the target of 80 runs with seven wickets remaining in the nail biting finish in the last over of T10 format match.
Pavan K R contributed 38 runs becoming the highest individual scorer for his side. It included five fours, followed by Bharath N who hit 26.
Earlier Royals won the toss, but chose to field. Warriors who batted first hit 79 runs in 10 overs.
For Warriors, Manjunath S P scored 41 runs with three sixes and two fours. Shankar Ramaswamy-10 runs, Sundareshan J-six and Sathish M K-three runs among others setting the target of 79 runs for the rivals.
Royals easily chased the Warriors. However, in the last over, it turned out to be a seat edge thriller with two runs needed in three balls to win.
Finally, as anticipated, Royals won the match by hitting two runs in the last ball.
