Using animals for begging is cruelty: Dr S K Mittal

Mysuru: Young boys and girls seen begging with a hungry cow or bull, have become a common sight in the streets of Mysuru.
They seek alms saying, “I am hungry and so also my animal,” stated Dr S K Mittal, Mysuru District Regional Chairman, Animal Welfare Board of India, Government of India.
It has also been seen that, when they get a chance, these youths steal from the shops and cars. Police, Animal Husbandry Department, Area Officer of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) are sitting blindfolded. They should immediately rescue the animals and send it to the animal house or Pinjrapole. The perpetrators should be warned and arrested immediately, urged Dr Mittal.
